Pick a Poo is a woman-owned pet waste removal company founded by Mariel Ramirez-Holkon and located in Burke, VA. Built on a genuine love for dogs and a clear need for reliable poop-scooping services in the community. Mariel has spent most of her life caring for dogs, from playful puppies to senior dogs and some with special needs. Her experience includes assisting pregnant dogs during labor, nurturing newborns (including those with cleft palates), supporting her beloved dog through cancer, adopting strays and caring for a friend's blind poodle she loves as her own.

Mariel has been offering boarding services for dogs for a few years. She recognized how challenging it can be for busy clients and families to keep up with yard cleanup while balancing life. This inspired her to create Pick a Poo, a service offering professional and reliable results. Her goal is to maintain clean, safe, and odor-free outdoor spaces, allowing pet owners to fully enjoy their yards and spend more quality time with their families and dogs.
